Instagram, Texas shaped pretzels, CandiQuik and... nail polish?

I promise these things have something in common.

    Promise.

Let's talk about Instagram first. It is like totally my new favorite thing. I'm for real... All the cool kids are using it.

Instagram makes EVERYONE look like a professional photographer... and then gives you the most simple way to show off your pictures.  It's an iPhone app for taking pictures, adding filters to make them look amazing and then allows you to share them with sites like Twitter, Flickr, Tumblr and Facebook. It's also a social network all it's own. Allowing you to "like" or comment on other people's photos... friends, followers and even complete strangers.

Let me say again..... I love it. Pictures are the only thing I look at on Facebook and Twitter anyways.... this is perfect!!!

So let me show you an example....

I took this photo of a bread pudding whoopie pie I made....

See how it says "Normal" at the bottom? This is my original picture. Everything to the right of this is filter options.

Here are a few of my favorites.... and you literally just click on the filter and it changes your picture.

     "Earlybird"

    "Sutro"

     "Toaster"

"Nashville"..... I love this one. Of course I do... because it looks retro.

So anyways... you see how you can instantly make your photos look amazing. You can also use "tilt/shift" which is a tool that blurs the background in areas you choose. I'll show you that in a second. Anyways.. A few of my favorite food bloggers use Instagram! Bakerella even made an Instagram cookie with her Homemade Graham Crackers.

PickyPalate, RecipeGirl, DessertForTwo and Sweetapolita are just a few I adore... their Instagrams always make me smile!!!!

MY Instagram name is "sugarderby". I can't link to it because it is, of course, an iPhone only app.... you have to get it through your iPhone.

But get it!!! and find me!!! and bakerella... and pickypalate... and recipegirl... and dessertfortwo.... and sweetapolita and... and... and....

    You're gonna love it!

    So let's move on!

The way this all ties together is as follows...... I got a sweet little email from Log House Foods... Miss Candiquik wanted to send me some free stuff to try out while I bake!!!

Uh... yes please!!!!! Pretty pretty please!!!!! So I got this great package with lots of CandiQuik Candy Coating, new recipes and a sweet little note from Miss Candiquik herself!!!!

That same day a friend from work gave me a bag of Texas Shaped pretzels... the state of Texas and boot shapes!!! Eeeeek!!!

That same day I was also obsessed with Instagram!!! So you see how this all ties together right?

I did a post about CandiQuik and Texas shaped pretzels all via Instagram!! Never picking up my Canon camera or lenses.

This is the picture I refered to earlier.... I used the "tilt/shift" tool to blur the background... isn't that cool? Yea... it is!

So I had these wonderful pretzels and this wonderful CandiQuik..... which by the way, is so easy to use! It comes with it's own warming tray.

If you have ever tried to clean up a "candy coating" mess you will appreciate this warming tray! Absolutely no clean up... just throw it away.

And the coating itself is fabulous. Smooth, shiny in all the right ways... and delicious! I'm sold!

So I decided to dip these bad boys in Chocolate CandiQuik.

All you do is... take your pretzels, warm the CandiQuik, dip, tap off excess, lay on cooling rack and sprinkle!

    So easy! So fun!!!

And you look amazing via Instagram! Amazing!

If you do choose to follow me on Instagram let me give you a little hint as to what you might see....

    Vintage

    and Nail Polish.

Yes, nail polish!!!! What? I love nail polish. And?

    See you soon.... Instagram!

Wow, that's how a strawberry looks like up close? I know it has holes but I didn't know it has yellows in them.
