Vintage finds for weekend of 3/4

Um. Ok. You are kidding at the cuteness I found on Friday!!!

I was kind of in a rush and got a late start BUT I found some great pieces.... AND I showed up at one sale to find another sale that wasn't listed just a few doors down! Bonus sale!!!

    So... here's what I got....

This is my "it's almost almost summer and I can't wait to fill my vintage mini Igloo cooler with a summer beverage and carry it around and be cute" purchase!!! ($2.50)

Adorable. And it has a spout. A spout!!! For cups! or people's mouths! People's mouths!!!

    OK... and look at these....

Mini Texas Sesquicentennial Mugs! Yes please!!! ($2)

Oh my gosh... look at this. The most adorable toothpick holder I've ever seen. Ever.

    It has a lid. A lid!!! ($2)

And now for the big reveal... my favorite purchase of the day... all $17 of it....

Isn't it just beautiful?!?! Look at all those tiers. And the little jars! Gasp!

I intend on using it for a little cupcake bar... sprinkles in the jars, frosting in a bowl in the middle, mini cupcakes of all flavors on every tier :)

But later that night I used it for a little mexican spread... taquitos, empanadas, and mini tacos on the tiers... salsa and sour cream in the jars and guacamole in the middle.

It was perfect. I will use this everyday if possible. Which will be impossible... making me a liar. Don't judge.

    Lastly.... the funniest of purchases....

    Really? Really really?

Pink glasses... with a cat with pink glasses inside the pink glasses... I mean, who thought of this?

And who thought it was a great idea? I mean, come on now!!!!

And the "need help call police".

I would be more likely to call the police if they had they cat with pink glasses on, inside the pink glasses side showing in their car window.

Think on THAT for a second!

Follow me on Twitter for live tweets from estate sales... every Friday :)

Love that cooler! And the pink sunglasses cat thing brings back sooo many SUNSHADE memories from growing up. Like anyone would REALLY call the police if that was up in your car???? Haaaaa, love it!

I would never call the police.... I would never even notice!! Unless it was the cats of course... Then I would just laugh :)

Ran across your blog via Gourmet moms tweet, and wow that tiered server is great!! If theres a store that carries them, I would absolutely go get it today! Great find. Also going to try the hostess cakes, those look delicious. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

I love the cat sun visor! As someone who loves finding weird stuff in thrift shops (example: I have a set of old school wrestling cookie cutters. Macho Man!), I would have snatched that up in an instant and giggled at it while wandering the rest of the store. Epic find!

Love your blog! This was recommended to me yesterday and I thought with your love of both delicious dishes and vintage food, you might like it too. It's a coffee table book with photos of vintage menus. (that you could clearly see if you clicked on the link...but I feel like those first two sentences sound really creepy, so I thought I'd elaborate.)

The Iglu cooler is amazing, after seeing that I want to go hunt one on eBay!
