White Cheddar Popcorn & White Chocolate Chip Cookies

Still on my sweet and salty kick... still loving it :)

These cookies are kind of a spin off of the Movie Theater Cookies I made via bluebonnetsandbrownies.com a while back... They had Raisinets and popcorn in them! And were delicious!

Once I realized you could put popcorn in a cookie I knew I had to do something else! Popcorn in a cookie!!!

So... my favorite popcorn is Smart Ones White Cheddar. It's yummo.....

To me the perfect combo to a white cheddar would be a white chocolate... just keepin it simple folks... just keepin it simple.

As with most of my cookies, I started with a basic cookie dough....

White Cheddar Popcorn & White Chocolate Chip Cookies

    You will need:

    2 1/4 cups flour

    1 tsp baking soda

    1 tsp salt

1 stick Crisco butter flavored baking stick (sold on the baking isle near the shortening)

    OR 1 cup softened butter

    3/4 cup sugar

    3/4 cup brown sugar

    1 tsp vanilla extract

    2 eggs

1 cup crumbled White Cheddar Popcorn

    1 cup White Chocolate Chips

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl and set aside.

Combine butter, sugars, vanilla and eggs.....

Beat wet mixture with electric mixer... then gradually add in flour...

And now for your special sweet and salty ingredients....

For the popcorn.... remove all kernels and hard pieces you can find... break up the popcorn into small pieces by rubbing it between your palms... it's a little messy!

Measure out 1 cup and add to cookie dough.

Now add in 1 cup white chocolate chips....

    And stir... simple!!!!

    Eeeeek!

Some how I got distracted at this point and didn't take any pictures of them before they were baked... but it's simple...

Use about 2 Tbsp per cookie... shape into a ball and bake at 350 degrees for 13 minutes... ish... 13ish minutes.... I like my cookies soft! I do 13 minutes!

Let sit for a minute or so then move to cooling rack....

And you have delicious sweet and salty cookies! D-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s!

And then there was a photo shoot!!!

Love the contrast of those cookies on that dish....

UP CLOSE... see the popcorn!! Yayayyay!

I hope you get to try one of the sweet and salty cookies I've made.... I'm sure you'll find one you just can't live without.

My favorite are the Yogurt Covered Pretzels and Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies! So good.

    Happy Baking!

I have to admit that it sounds a little weird adding popcorn to cookies but it really looks good, all of your food does and I love how you make simply things such as already made cookie dough into something unique
