First things first..... Happy New Year friends!
2012 and I have already talked... and we're gonna be friends... really good friends!
As part of my New Years resolution... I am starting a "weekly" on my blog! Mainly because I want to but also to prove to myself that I can be more consistent with my blog posts.
A "weekly" is... um... exactly what it sounds like... I pick a theme and I post about it on a specific day each week. I knew that in order for me... and you ;).. to stay interested it needed to be something fun and easy and something I was passionate about.
And so.... I introduce... Miniature Mondays!!!!! ya! ya! ya! ya!
Every Monday I will make you smile with a new post about miniatures. Most will be my own original recipes... sweet and savory!!! Some you will probably make on your own to impress your friends and family :)... and some are just down right silly! I'll let you decide which is which! I'll also show you other miniatures I adore... jewelry, art, animals!!!! So excited!!!
Sooooooo.... for my very first Miniature Monday...... Itty Bitty Teeny Tiny Cinnamini Rolls!!!! Eeeeeekkkkkk!!!!!!
You will need the folllowing to make these babies:
1 can crescent rolls
softened butter... maybe 3 Tbsp
about 1/2 cup powdered sugar
approx 1 Tbsp milk
This recipe is so easy..... the ingredients are really even measured... just kind of eyeball it.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
A regular sized crescent roll can has 8 pre-perforated triangles.... 4 rectangles with 2 triangles each!
Separate one rectangle....
Roll it out to make a little flatter...
Spread with butter. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Easy!
Now roll one side in... only about 1/4 of the way.
Cut that off. Roll a little bit just to seal the edge and begin to slice! You will get 4 of these little rolls. Each yielding about 15 mini rolls.
So 60 rolls per 1/4 can.... about 240 mini cinnamini rolls per can! I made 1/4 can mini and the rest turned into croissants!
I use a sharp serated knife. Be careful because you don't want to distort the shape of the mini cini!
Place on baking sheet and bake for 4 MINUTES!!!! They're babies... you gotta be careful!
Prepare your icing... I use about 1/2 cup powdered sugar and maybe 1/2 Tbsp milk. Start with that.. just stir together... if you want it thicker, add more powdered sugar... thinner, add more milk!
Place into a super fancy zip lok bag, snip a little bit off the end and drop a little icing on each mini.
You now have yourself teeny tiny little precious baby cinnamini rolls!!!! With icing!!!!
And you know there was a photo shoot.... you know there was!
My precious little glass collection....a mixture of salt&pepper shakers and Cracker Barrel syrup bottles :)
Well..... my first Miniature Monday done... 51 to go!!!!!!
Hope y'all enjoy..... and if you ever find one of those "Honey I Shrunk The Kids" machines let me know....
My recipes would be much easier!
Happy Baking and Miniaturizing!
