What's going on with Sugar Derby Mobile?

you ask..... or you don't, and I tell you anyway!

That's actually what's going to happen now :)

I've had a couple of events this month...

Rock for Spot and Homegrown Festival...

Both were fun... and if you came to either, you know both were scorchers!!!!

We don't have an AC in the trailer at the moment.... or any type of shade out front...

and we are in TEXAS!!!!! guys, it's hot!

So until I get those two things remedied, I'm going to be pretty picky about the events I do over the summer!

A mobile shop is quite difficult to own. The set up, tear down, transporting... It's work! And I want this to stay fun!!!

I will of course let you know any and all events I take part in... I've got some really really great pieces in the trailer these days!!!

So real quick.... let's give a little credit where credit is due....

I have a slew of friends that have helped me with all of my SDMobile stuff... pricing, cleaning, set up, graphic design stuff.... so so thankful for all of them....

and a little extra thanks to a couple of gems....

My friend Brittany has helped me from the start of this whole deal. She is indeed a keeper and I'm thankful to have her on my team.

She actually sells the vintage clothing you see in all the pictures... I just don't have an eye for that stuff... but she does... and people love it... so it's a win/win!

Britt is super talented in lots of areas and super busy...

I'm glad to have her while she can.... she's a stylist in her "real life" job... and has had some pretty big features recently....

this is one of my favorites.... from D Magazine last month....

Oh yea, and she works with me at Central Track, as the fashion writer.

and then there is this one.....

I'm pretty much an open book but there is one little thing I don't talk about much in this outlet.....

and that probably won't change today..... but I owe lots and lots of thanks to my partner in crime... Mister William the Third....

Ladies, as much as we think we can do EVERYTHING on our own.... there are times when you just gotta have a man.

I thought I could do this entire thing "all by myself!!!"... and... I was wrong... ha!

This guy helps me so much... doing stuff I can't and... uh... don't even want to do....

and he always makes me laugh... even when we are both so tired... and hot... and gross... and sweaty...

and we just want to party and not have to take the trailer back home...... he always helps....

and so... I'm thankful for that too :)

Ugh... I always get so sappy... it's a little ridiculous.

Oh well..... I will most def keep up with posting information about future events.... and hope to see lots of faces at all of them!
